Beware the Sucker-Punch
Over the last several months, I have seen numerous videos of left-leaning protesters taking cheap shots or sucker punches at their opposition. These attacks usually happen by the aggressor coming up from behind or from the side of their victim and striking. As a result, onlookers seem shocked or even confused about how someone could do such a thing.
Now, I’m not here to justify or denounce the gathering or the reasoning for the protests. For this exercise, that is quite irrelevant. If you are resolved enough to participate in a demonstration, you should be determined enough to act accordingly. This means that you need to understand that there is going to be an opposition and that you should at least be prepared or on guard for something potentially violent.
Cheap shots are cheap but know that sucker punches happen to suckers. Don’t turn your back to the opposition; if you must, ensure that someone has your back. It is that simple. Sure, it can be argued that there isn’t much honor in such tactics. One could even say that only cowards would do such a thing. This is a perspective issue.
Understand that the groups like Antifa (or any other similar group) have repeatedly called their struggle a war. If that’s true, I want to challenge you to change your perspective on their actions. Instead of looking at these people as cowards, I want you to see their sucker punches as guerrilla warfare, a form of irregular warfare in which a small group of combatants uses various tactics… such as an ambush.
That’s really what we see here. Small groups of Antifa or other left-leaning organizations and supporters are ambushing patriots. Patriots are continually sucker-punched because (for whatever reason) many haven’t caught on to the fact that their opposition doesn’t want to face them. And guess what? The tactic is effective, and it’s clearly working – or we wouldn’t see so many videos of this happening.
Patriots (of all people) should know this better than most. I recall a story of a small group of farmers that decided to stand up to the strongest military might on the planet. As I recall, they won the fight using an unorthodox method known as guerrilla warfare. It worked then, and it works now.
With that being said, I want you to consider that the problem with these sucker punches may NOT be that the punches were thrown or that the punches connected with the unsuspecting victim. All is fair in love and war, right? Please consider the idea that the REAL PROBLEM is that NOBODY did anything about it either before or after the actual strike. In each video, it is clear that the aggressor is sneaking up on the victim. In each video, nobody attempts to stop the strike, and nobody warns the potential victim that someone is sneaking upon them. That’s the problem. Where is the support?
I would also like you to consider that even after the strike, nobody is stepping in to do anything about the incident. There is no defense or protection of the victim; no retaliation for the strike; no arrest, and so on. There is seemingly zero response short of bewilderment – which isn’t much of a response. That sends a powerful message, just not one you should be sending.
I want you to understand that these “cowards” feel bold enough to ambush and then simply walk away because they do not fear the repercussion of those nearby. I want you to understand that the responsibility to look out for fellow patriots falls on your shoulders if you are planning to be involved. I can’t imagine a scenario where this shouldn’t be the case.
I believe that if you do not respond and do not attempt to protect in the first place, then you are worse than the attacker. This reminds me of the following movie quote: “They watched as her assailant walked away. Now, we must all fear evil men. But, there is another kind of evil which we must fear most … and that is the indifference of good men!“
Don’t be indifferent. Stand up for what you believe in and defend it. Stand up for those who stand next to you and those who cannot stand up for themselves. Sometimes doing the right thing can be challenging; doing nothing is easy.
