Defining the Irony of the Left

Last night, I was thinking about a few things, and a thought crossed my mind that just pissed me off. How are people so easily led into something they would otherwise hate? But instead of hating it, they learn to love it and defend it as though it were doing something great. Let me give you an example.

Bill Ayers is somehow a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also a former leader of the Weather Underground, a radical LEFT organization in the 1970s that planned to “seize power” in a violent COMMUNIST takeover of the United States. (Communism or Socialism through violence – I’m shocked).

Ayers later served alongside Obama (a LEFTIST Democrat) on several charitable and education boards in his capacity as a professor. Obama and Ayers’ nine years of service on the Woods Fund of Chicago board of directors overlapped from 1999 to 2002. And as you may know, Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn (also a LEFTIST radical), hosted a gathering at their home in 1995, in which Obama was a guest. A big ol’ leftist party!

On Aug. 30, 2014, MSNBC anchor Alex Wagner and former White House chef Sam Kass married at a private wedding north of New York City. Of course, Obama went to this too. But so did Ayers and Dohrn. Shocker! Obama was literally partying and hanging out with advocates of violent struggle against the U.S. government – again. Nobody cared.

The point is that these people spend time together and have conveyed similar ideas in the past. Think about what this means. And for clarity, let’s remember for a moment the White House Christmas decor featuring Mao Zedong – the guy who killed millions in the name of Communism. This is notable because Ayers and Dohrn (the ones who wanted a Communist takeover) were on the run for almost a decade as fugitives for their involvement in the bombings of federal buildings, including the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, in protest of the Vietnam War. But somehow, these people are worthy of hanging out with… the President – the defender of the Constitution and the embodiment of the government.

Wait. I’m confused. I thought you were a good guy if you embraced the Constitution and equality and equal rights. How exactly does all this work? It gets worse, though.

Perhaps this is old news, but what I find curious is that at a 1969 “War Council” in Flint, Michigan, Weatherman leader Bernardine Dohrn (currently a law professor at Northwestern University and a Board member of the ACLU) praised the serial murderer Charles Manson and his accomplices, saying “Dig it. First, they killed those pigs (white, rich people), then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim’s stomach. Wild.” She then proclaimed that the time had come to launch a war against “Amerikkka.” Ahh… a forger of young minds with a warped mind of her own. Perfect!

The irony is that Charles Manson (a man whose ideas are promoted as a continuation of National Socialism) was a racist and tried to start something called Helter Skeltera race war. And Dohrn supported that? Dohrn has been hanging out with our President.

Ironically, Manson thought that the blacks were going to win that war. While this was going on, Charlie and his Family would be hiding out in the desert, biding their time. After a while, the new black society would realize they couldn’t keep things together by themselves because, evidently, they weren’t that smart. They would need a strong white man and would eventually beg Charlie to lead them. Thus would begin Charlie’s reign over the Earth. And someone who thinks this is intellectually correct is teaching kids.

While this sounds like a Utopian leftist dream, the part that’s missed is that the murders that Dohrn praises were done in the name of racism. Dohrn praised a racist for violent acts against his own race to start a war against other races – specifically the race with which Obama attempts to identify himself. And somehow, Obama likes to hang out with these people? Nice. But it still gets worse.

As previously stated, Ayers and Dohrn praised Manson. They then said that the time had come to launch a war against “Amerikkka.” (Weatherman always spelled “America” this way to convey the group’s belief that the nation was permanently racist to its core). Perhaps they owned a mirror.

The irony (or stupidity) – is that all these LEFTISTS tend to be Democrats – with a clear history of racist ideals. At the same time, they use the KKK to make their point. This is absolutely absurd!

The KKK was started by a bunch of Democrats terrorizing newly empowered black and white Republicans in the South. So really, these Democrats embrace racists and push racism (constantly) but want to start a war against racists? There just seems to be an abundance of confusion here. Perhaps it would make more sense to just shoot themselves in the face.

How can you celebrate a racist murderer and then proclaim to want to wage war against racists while simultaneously advocating racism and engaging in racist acts? Better yet, how can you be a party member of an organization that finds its roots in what you claim to hate? And why is it that every time something comes up, it’s all about race, but you blame the other side, which doesn’t seem to have an issue with race at all?

More irony? What do Obama, Ayers, Dohrn, Manson, the KKK, and the like all have in common besides racism? Left-leaning Communist or socialist ideals, radicalism, a fundamental confusion about reality, and ignoring or condoning acts of atrocity if it furthers their agenda? That might only get us started, though. The odd part is how obvious it has all been. The sad part is how so few can see it, and even worse is how many people follow these ideas and/or people.

The truth is that Socialists and Communists need division, and the easiest division to exploit is “race.” Communist Nelson Mandela – Racist. Che Guevara – Racist. Socialist Hitler – Racist. Stalin – Racist. Etc. etc. But the irony doesn’t stop there.

The term “racist” was first coined by the Communist Leon Trotsky. Yeah, why don’t more people find this odd? Remember – socialists and communists need division! When you think about it all this way, you can get a glimpse into the wonderful hopes, dreams, and future of the left-wing – keeping in mind, of course, that many people are flocking to this crazy idea in droves while completely disregarding the history of what these people tend to do.

But perhaps identifying these connections requires an education. But we’re screwed there, too, aren’t we? It seems that most kids only get the education currently being pushed by the LEFT!!! We are in trouble.

I suppose it’s similar to how Hillary Clinton praises people like Margaret Sanger, an outspoken racist and eugenicist… and nobody seems to care. Or, perhaps it’s more like how California Democrats working for the NAACP once called The Star-Spangled Banner (the national anthem) “one of the most racist, pro-slavery, anti-black songs in the American lexicon.” Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree! But then again, let us remember that the national anthem was written by Francis Scott Key, a strong supporter of both the Democratic Party and Andrew Jackson – the father of the Democrat party and the man the Huffington Post once called “second most racist president of all time.” Isn’t history fun?

Indeed! Imagine my surprise when I heard the Democrat’s calls to remove Andrew Jackson from the twenty-dollar bill. Granted, I wasn’t surprised that they wanted him removed; I was surprised about who they chose to replace him. Although, I must say that the replacement is fitting and something everyone can probably get behind. Harriet Tubman – an American abolitionist and a gun-toting Republican. You can’t make this stuff up!

Stop the planet… I want to get off. Perhaps these examples are just a few of the many reasons I am so damn cynical today. Of course, the left might suggest that I’m just too judgmental. Some will (despite the clear evidence to the contrary) suggest that the parties switched. And yet, some will surely suggest that many of the people used in my examples have changed and that I am merely overreacting.

Okay. Whatever you have to tell yourself.
